Announcing a free 2-day workshop on building with adobe architecture in relationship to sculpture though a hands-on experience with Joanna Keane Lopez for her solo exhibition, Land Craft Theatre, at SITE Santa Fe.

Must commit for the two days:

Thursday, September 16 & Friday, September 17

9:30 am-4:30 pm

Focus: We will learn about soil composition, laying adobes, how to mix and apply mortar, cutting adobes bricks, mudding, and how to build a curved wall.

Co-instructor is Issac Logsdon, adobero and assistant program director of Cornerstones Community Partnerships, a Santa Fe based non-profit that supports southwestern communities to preserve their historic buildings.

Previous workshop participants will be given priority of attendance.

A written statement of interest and a zoom interview may be required for admission to the free workshop.

Deadline to apply is Friday, August 20th.

Applicants will be notified of acceptance status by September 1st.

Maximum of 10 participants.
